do i need a cofounder to apply?

no. many people apply solo and find their cofounders inside the cohort. that's one of the main reasons buildroom exists. you can also apply with an idea or a team you already have.

what are the founder and builder tracks?

the founder track is for people who want to start and lead a company. the builder track is for exceptional engineers, designers, and operators who want to join a team and ship. you pick the track that fits you best when you apply.

is buildroom really fully remote?

yes. cohort 01 is fully remote, so you can take part from anywhere in india with no relocation. the program runs through live sessions, async collaboration, and weekly check-ins.

cohort 01 is free to take part in. we don't charge a fee and we don't take equity. we're focused on building the right room first.

how much time does it take each week?

we review every application personally. if there's a fit, we'll reach out for a short conversation. we look at proof of work, ambition, and how you think, not grades or resumes.

when does cohort 01 start and when do applications close?

applications for cohort 01 close on june 10, 2026, and the cohort begins on june 15, 2026. we review on a rolling basis, so apply early, since spots in a small cohort are limited.
